Return of Both Strikers

I don’t know why people think with Simms back in we are suddenly going to see the goals flood in. He was hardly prolific before he got crocked.
Yes but we showed way better attacking flair yesterday once him and Roberts were on

We’ve not played brilliantly recently but there’s times we’ve had 7 midfielders in the team

I’ll be happy with a comfortable finish above the relegation zone

Simms getting back might give us the possibility of winning the odd game here and there.

As others have said can see us around mid-table, which I'm perfectly happy with for the season, particularly watching some very good stuff played.

We've shown we can match up any side playing football but we probably lack some experience, aggression, tenacity and physicality.

Aye probably mate, don't hold your breath though. Dan Ballard getting back could be big for us.

However, I think centre midfield is a glaring issue. Being a Jarra Lad I've got massive bias for Dan Neil (and any local player really) but except for one excellent tackle and break away he was weak and out of the game yesterday. Ba and Matete both have attributes too but none of them three are likely going to boss games in this league (yet). Personally, I'd be surprised if we bring anyone else into that area of the pitch/squad as the kids seem to be the model. Not seen enough of Michut yet but he was canny yesterday (after his first pass which was horrible).

our entire midfield were completely over run at times yesterday as you say we need some physically built lads who can destroy the opponents attack

Unless we futlrther strengthen up front well be in same situation. Stewart and Simms won't be available for the whole of 2nd half of the season. They need help.
And with Stewart still not signing a contract, it’s all the more important.
I think if he's fit they'll be actively looking to sell LND in January based on Mowbray's quotes from that fan thing.
Why, what did he say?

We've that many midfielders, they can't all fit into the matchday squad. It's highly unlikely that we'll be going out and getting more in January unless some leave.

Like others have said, we'll finish above the relegation zone and that will be the target achieved. We may get a young striker in, but I don't see us doing any business other than getting one or two of our lads out on loan.

We can't win consecutive games we will be nowhere near
I ve been convinced that we’d make the play offs. But unless this changes then I think you’re right. We are seeing the high press less and less and we look nowhere near as good. I know stewart leads it but it’s still doable without him. I think we are slowly being Mowbrayed
