I watched this as a gobsmacked kid on MotD. Coventry have a free kick on the edge of the Everton area. Willie Carr stands with the ball between his feet. On the whistle Carr grips the ball and flicks it up behind him, teeing up Ernie Hunt to slam home an excellent volley. The goal should never have stood because when Carr grips the ball he is technically touching it twice, which is disallowed from a free kick. I think the FA outlawed such play at the end of that season. The goal featured at the start of MotD. The cameras missed the original flick but you see it on the replay. A rare gem :cool:
