REM

Just come on one of the music TVs channels.

What a band they were. Not generally mentioned in the conversation of "great" bands, but I think the quality of their songs compares favourably to anyone
Love them, saw them live in Hull bizarrely.

I don't get REM in the way a lot of people on here are saying. I really like some of their songs, others I find a drag.
My knowledge mainly extends to what would probably constitute a greatest hits.
People mentioning the 80s REM stuff, what would you suggest for listening to?
Document, Green.

It is.
1. Find The River
2. Country Feedback
3. So Central Rain
And in fourth place is a f***ing hideous choice imo - Imitation Of Life, but there you go.

Aye, I’ve listened to bits & bobs of those podcasts.
Will give them a proper hearing at some point.

Just re-listen to So Central Rain forgot how good REM were took me back to another time and place, listening to more early stuff now thanks for the prompt
