After Palace and West Brom we should have 5 points minimum, anything less then things could get really bad with tough away games at Stoke and West Ham who could easily start to pick up wins by then.

Trying not to piss my pants but that would likely be 5 points from 7 if we achieve that. We`re currently 3-6 points behind sides we`re likely to be scrapping with, that could be extended quite a bit in this period.

I know for example we gave Norwich massive leads and caught them twice but it makes the fixtures against these sides fecking huge and I do fear this year our arse will then drop out.

What a sad f***ing life watching Watford getting an unlikely win in SEPTEMBER and thinking it may cost us dearly  sick of this f***ing shit.

Obviously time to turn this around, wicked early away fixtures were handed to us imo.

However it pans out it really isn't gonna be anything but a hard ugly slog which is exactly what for once, we looked like breaking the cycle of for at least one bastard year.

Good post.
Chain of unfortunate events that started w Iceland but we'll recover.

Bookies have us third favourites after Burnley and Hull. WBA are fourth but double the odds. Sounds about right although I think WBA could be in real trouble too, especially if Pulis walks. Think Southampton will climb the table and Stoke have enough about them - with Bony there they should be OK. Not sure why Boro are such long odds though and think Palace will be down there. Still early days but the business completed during the window and the collapse last night are worrying. Regardless of whether or not we go, it certainly won't be anything but another scrap this year.

We're abysmal, but it's only September FFS!
Calm the fuck down. If we're still struggling by Christmas, Short will pull the trigger on Moyes. It's far from over.
Maybe Sam will get the sack from England and we can have him back.

I think we all know the situation is shit,it just reahes defcon 4 the longer we go without a win. After 10 games our points total and position will be a marker for the season

And I'm a fan of Moyes, but the chickens have come home to roost IMO.
Is there any sort of appeals process or do we just get relegated now? Do we get a refund on the season cards? Will we still play the remaining matches or have them been given as 10-0 defeats to save us the bother? Not sure how this works so some form of clarity would be great, thanks.

I wish we could bring all the nailed on relegation threads from the past six seasons, its laughable to write off anyone after 4 games. At least three of Hull, Watford, Boro, Swansea, Burnley, Bournemouth, WBA, Southampton will also likely struggle this season so its going to be another long one.

Personally I think we look slightly better off than we did the last three seasons at this stage thats only because weve still got a couple of first teamers to come back in and new signings to. Says a lot about the previous three seasons however that we may actually have a slightly stronger squad this time around. Very worrying

CONFIDENCE
football is all about players being confident in , their own ability , that of their teamates, manager ,coaches and tactics.
Moyes has come in and fo r whatever reason sucked all the confidence out of our squad after after last seasons good run under sam , with his signings , his team selection , his tactis and worst of all his ridiculously negative press conferences, never mind people saing he is a realist , thats not good man management , footballers no matter how limited they are need to be constantly encouraged and told how good they are aka big sams phylosophy. Not given a green light to lie down after conceding a goal cos the manager tells the world after one game we are in a relegation fight.

The bed wetting and hysteria on here after last night was so sadly predictable.
Four games in, we gave Man City a real tough game, were undone by Boro due to injuries and a wonder goal, could have beaten Soton, and matched Everton for 60 mins who had spent over 60m on new players and who had one of Europe's most sought after strikers on fire last night.
Leave the judging til the end of November and fking get behind our club 100pc.

You're right, we're gone. 2 points adrift of safety with just 34 games remaining, might as well concede?
We've been in worse situations, several times, with 4 games remaining, never mind played...

No. It is not ONLY September. It IS September. Again we give all the other clubs a big start. Again we are f***ing shite. Again we piss off our fans. Again the Managers Email is f***ing bollocks aimed at morons. The Everton game was a disgrace. No defence, one man attack who was invisible, a mid field who thought we were in blue. Schoolboy defensive absence of marking

Embarrassing and pathetic.

Obviously if we continue like last night we're gone.

However, we were also 100% gone after dicks start, and di canio's start.

We looked gone under MON and spragia too.

Keep the faith. We have time on our side, players coming back, and the fact we are actually a great club despite the gloom at the moment.

Not 100%, probably 85%. What a few months does ... The Everton home game in May and then that dross last night, I just think everything is against us ... We quite simply can't get out if it every season ... And who would the fireman be this time ? Who is out there to save us ? We HAD to take pressure off Defoe. We sign a striker with a breathtakingly poor strike rate. We HAD to bring in an another attacking midfielder. We didn't .... Khazri looks disinterested, we sold in hindsight possibly our 2nd most important player for a paltry 3.5 million ... We won't pay a couple of million for M'vila. We've been in worse positions undoubtably however we look like a relegation side all over, the home games against palace and west brom will say a lot. Less than 4 points and a villa is on the cards ...

We quite simply can't get out if it every season

Hindsight tells us we can. Same doom mongering and bed wetting from the usual suspects 4 games in FFS. Give it a rest you have got to be sick of being wrong.
