Regarding the clubs response to one of or former players...

What's the obsession with people wanting the club to make another statement. All it will do is open a can of worms at what will be a crucial time.
If the trial lasts 2 weeks, any fall out is likely to be end of Feb at earliest and end of March at the latest, great timing for a media shitstorm

Think the club is in a no win position (no pun intended) when the charges were first brought he was suspended, if I remember, the PFA were involved, and he was quite rightly in my opinion (innocent until proven guilty) reinstated. Now he has admitted to wrong doing I don't think the club, especially after all the fuss the Ched Evans case stoked up was left with very little option. The issue was made very much easier as he only had a few months left on his contract, would Sunderland have come to the same decision if we had just forked out megamillions for someone and a similar issue arose in the first few months their contract

This for me like. I don't think the club have done anything wrong throughout this. Because of recent events they have taken their recent action which is 100% correct and told us why they have made it. What else are they meant to do

Might be because you have a little trouble reading

The club have said all they needed to and won't comment any further, not really sure what else you want them to say
 F*cking hell I was only asking a question.... A simple No would have been sufficient....

You've persuaded me, can we all move on now! :D

Spurred on by threads like this. Wind it back in man, you're well out of order at this time in the proceedings.

OTT marra

Could be doing with some clarification regarding who knew what and when - after this is all sorted, not during, obviously. The info in the public domain suggests the club were lied to and would have a decent case against the player. How much in wages has been paid out during the time this has gone on?

Why? What purpose will that serve until it's all over?

Stand out side the SOL and make a public statement while we all decide whether to chuck squashed tomatoes at them I think

Gerrin, my work is done

Presumably he's taken money from the club in the full knowledge that he's in breach of contract, having committed a sackable offence (ie one likely to land you in prison). And as I said, after the case is done and dusted and we know all the facts.

Are there any new members though mate? If not I don't think you can call it the core anymore, especially since Brown will be leaving in a few months. You'll only be left with Larsson, O'Shea and Cattermole

I think they'll all go close season, regardless of what division we're in. If there's no improvement after that we can then look at other factors. At the moment they're the only common denominator on the playing side.

Why should they justify what was spent in his contract? It's not done with other players. They appear to be in as much of a state of shock as the rest of us.
