Regarding the clubs response to one of or former players...

Why are people so desperate to hear what more the club have to say like? Why?

What else is it you actually want them to say? I don't get it

Best to say nothing and just draw a line under it, if you keep mentioning it all the time it will be blown out of proportion. I think the focus has to be staying up this season, he isn't a player anymore so we move on.

that they were mislead or whatever, anything really.

I think it's quite naive to think the club will come out with anything like that, as much as we would all like to know what was said behind closed doors, the club will never say anything.

Someone might come out of jail and write a book however....

No reason for the club to say anything more. They have done the right thing. Treated the ex employee as innocent until shown otherwise, and a confession of guilt to a criminal offence is enough for just about any employer to dismiss on the grounds of gross misconduct. We don't need to know, nor the club explain what they might have known, suspected or thought about the circumstances. I am not a fan of the administration, but they can't be faulted on this. Byrne is a lawyer after all.
