Do you think we can expect a longer more detailed statement from them, once proceedings are finished? Or do you think they will just shut up and close shop?

Oh and mods, please give the thread a chance, no one has been named, this is more about the club... Pretty Pleeeeeeeease!

In the club statement about the player being sacked there would be no further communication, so no

I meant more about what they knew at what point and such, to try and limit any possible damage to the clubs/their reputation...

I think as the official statemnet said they would be making no further statements I imagine there will be no futher statements.

What is it you would like hear from the club on it?

Eh? what have I done wrong....

That's what they say now....

As above...
I'd leave it for now mate TBF. Ongoing case and all that. When the times right, and the truth is out, the club will doubtless be in a position to elucidate. Not now though.

I don't want any further statement, they've said what they needed to say, he's no longer the clubs responsibility or problem.
To make further comment would encourage further media debate, whatever they say has the potential to be misconstrued.
So let's just focus on what the club remain responsible for, our premier league status

There is no need, as others have said the club made a point of saying there would be no further comment.

The club stood by the player due to being innocent until proven guilty, once the player pleaded guilty his contract was terminated. The club acted correctly and that's all that really matters.

Aye fair enough, I think I'm just preempting what will be possibly thrown at the club...

If they try to defend themselves some will interpret it and criticise, if they don't try and defend themselves some will misinterpret and criticise.
Personally I don't think they have anything to defend and as the saying goes 'least said soonest mended'

I agree, but rumours, untruths and accusations will continue bubble under the surface until they nip it in the bud...
