Refs not biased?


Terrible decision. He got a massive advantage out of it. He might not have meant it but it gave him a massive advantage and was definitely handball.
The VAR says it’s handball but the on field ref disagrees unbelievable

It's handball all day long and nowhere near a 50/50. His arm is going up and out and he brings it down and in and traps the ball. Given the distance the ball travels, he's got more than enough time to think about what he's doing.

His left arm is also going up too so its natural reaction and a natural body shape. If it hits his body first and then onto the arm is that then a free kick or not? I'm not even sure on the laws myself anymore but from that video you put up I'd say it was a natural position so if it were to hit his body then onto the arm it should be allowed right? Just like the amad one against us wasn't a pen as that was the same.

I'd not say there was a bias just inconsistencies from referee's which are then highlighted more if it suits the bias controversy. Teams higher up are going to get more pens as they are attacking more and the likes. How Fernandes didnt get booked for swearing at the ref can not be ever argued agaisnt imho its the easiest red card ever yet he was allowed to do it multiple times this game and tens of times over the season. Somebody will say its a hard job and I agree but if they cant do the basics right they need to be taught better.

A more natural reaction for me would be shift the arm away or at least attempt to. Given the reaction from most watching the game, not just on here, especially the pundits then I can't understand how the ref went ower yet decided it wasn't a handball.

I could be totally wrong I was watching the cycling, football and horse racing so only just going off your video and trying to think why the ref didn't disallow it. Least we have a ref who goes to the screen and sticks with his decision, just seems to be wrong again ha.
