The Beautiful Game
Striker
He got a few decisions wrong but no major game changing ones that affected the game. We’ve had several far, far worse than him.How much did you have last night
He was woeful at best

Surprised to see so much discussion about the ref from last night tbh. Considering some of the absolute dogshit officiating we’ve seen this season last nights was probably one of the better ones!
Fully agree, but this doesn't set a high bar and mean he had a good gameHe got a few decisions wrong but no major game changing ones that affected the game. We’ve had several far, far worse than him.
To be fair I didn’t praise him eitherFully agree, but this doesn't set a high bar and mean he had a good game![]()
I honestly think he was the most clueless bastard to pull a shirt on here this season, when power got kicked in head he let play go on for 10 seconds despite looking directly at incident.
The foul on O’Nien was a yellow all day
He missed a couple by leadbitter and Flanagan which both looked certain yellows. I’m pleased he had no big decisions to make as he’d definitely have got it wrong. Despite being clueless he was slightly better than the Peterborough referee
It was like he couldn't wait to put the whistle to his mouth whenever there was the slightest contact on a Burton player..utter garbage only ref that was worse than him this season was the Peterborough ref he was truly abysmal.
Northern league is decent. Credit where it’s due@redandwhiterob
Oxford 1-0 Bradford: Late Jamie Mackie goal seals win
This one, then?
Just a hard job? Fans being biased by saying he doesn't know what he's doing?
Or has he just fucked up but you'll still find a way to defend him?
You flatter me
I've had some very good refs tbh. Communication went a long way for some of those.
With regards to your first part, I think some of them have in the back of their mind the criticism they'll receive if they appear to favour us. "Oh he's weak on front of a big crowd... Bowed to the pressure etc. "
So they go they other way, if they took the middle ground between the two and forgot about the "occasion", they'd likely be decent
That wasn’t a foul on wyke mind he was just stronger than him on that occasion. The guy that went through the back of wyke and then kicked him full in the back when he was on the floor (admittedly aiming for the ball)
The sliding tackle from behind Grigg that went through him before th ball actually arrived
We're just talking first half yeah?

Thing is when we are in premier the refs apparently aren’t looking to show they don’t favour the big boys but in league 1 they are? I just don’t buy that I’m afraid.

Wyke rolled around like he’d been shot then low and behold he’s up running around two minutes later.

Just had an email from a friend who is visiting the area and supports a completely different team and who was at the game last night. I quote "it was a good game but with a different referee Sunderland would have won the game".Yet when we played away in the premier league to the big club in that division the ref was always homer!
It's nothing short of laughable you actually believe that!
I think the original was a foul but that's obviously interpretation. He did hoof him in the back though. That's a foul even though it was accidental
Wearside? Even a big nugget like me managed that. One below![]()

I take it all back![]()
Well that's just plain wrong. The ref never stopped us winning.Just had an email from a friend who is visiting the area and supports a completely different team and who was at the game last night. I quote "it was a good game but with a different referee Sunderland would have won the game".
Take your laughable comment and tick it up your arse.
Our fans love a whinge when a ref dares to give a foul against us mind!
I don't think he stopped us winning tbh, we weren't good enough. That said, he didn't have a good game at allWell that's just plain wrong. The ref never stopped us winning.
Utter bollocks
I don't normally even click on the bad ref threads. Watching that game I thought Honeyman must have fucked his wife or something.
