Ref last night

Yeah he was canny. Isn't he a PL ref?

I thought there were a few fouls he could have let go, but overall he was sound. One of the best we've had. That said, there weren't any real contentious decisions to make, the O'Nien penalty shout was nothing, even by O'Nien's admission.

There was a couple of fouls given that weren't and not given that were. But for once it was pretty even. Best ref we've had for a while.

I thought he let a lot of fouls go for either side so was at least consistent in that regards, which i don't mind. Not sure how Leeds can be complaining that we got all the decisions mind, the amount of times they went down easily and got a free kick and then complain when we got similar decisions.

Mad what happens when you have 2 good footballing sides that want to play the game, their lad could've easily went down after Huggins let the ball bounce over him in the 2nd half. But fair play he stayed on his feet and went for goal once Clarke got along side him.
The panel on the telly seemed to think he should have gone down and got Clarke sent off. Little tugs of the shirt or the arm like that go on all game, especially at corners. If that would have been ruled a sending off, every game would end with five a side.

Thought it was a penalty on O'Nien. But that's my only critcism.

It really wasn't. Onien was diving in the air and their lad pulled his challenge away before he got to him. Imo.

Also tbf to the ref he was behind, I think Neil, when it happened so he'd have been relying on the lino anyway

O'Nein said it wasn't.
Had it been 0-0 or even 0-1 at the final whistle I’d bet Luke would have revised his opinion. Thought it was a penalty myself, albeit a soft one. The ref was decent but inconsistent. He gave a dozen free kicks across the field throughout the game for lesser “challenges” than it.

No ref will get everything right so you can forgive them for missing a couple of fouls.

Thought he was fine overall and it was a decent game of football.
Daniel Farke wasn't happy with him.

Not really sure what he could complain about?

If that's what the panel said, no wonder refs are hated for making mistakes. The pundits should be encouraged to call out cheating ie falling over at the slightest touch and play acting.

Did well ignoring some of the Leeds diving and play-acting, pretending they were injured in the first half while we tried to break away which they tried a canny few times. He then did well to ignore a couple of ours trying it as well later

Me neither but when he was asked if Summerville should have gone down so Clarke would have gotten a red he said that the ref was on our side so that he probably would have only given a yellow anyway.
