Records of our managers over the past 20 years

Keane stands out given the percentage in the Premiership.
His Prem record was ordinary.

Spent a shedload of money, stayed up after a relegation battle with 39 points in season one, and in season two resigned with the club second off the bottom.

What stands out to me is what a huge turnover of managers that is. Since Reid in 1995 we havent appointed a manager that has survived for 3 years. Since Bruce we havent had anyone who has done 2.

To think that Marin Bain ignored Postegoclou and went for Chris Coleman. Hopefully our people now in charge now have more science behind them and not just gut feeling.

What Roy Keane did for our club cannot be measured by criteria like that. He gave the club back its self respect, took a team that was dead bottom and at its lowest ebb to promotion and stopped us tumbling down the leagues. Despite what followed he is a hero to me.

Ordinary in the Premier League is fuckin' excellent for us. And given that we were newly promoted, and finished 15th, safe with games to spare, it was an excellent return.
