Record shops

Mainly Big Country ( almost everything they did , 12 " and albums)
Jam
Talk Talk
Duran
U2
Plus shitload of 12" singles of a right mixture
If these are in top condition we'll shortly becoming to a point, we could even be there now, where some of them will be worth really good money, the LPs especially but condition will be everything.

Used to get my records from motion sounds in darlo years ago before it closed.

I dont half miss the technik 1210 days mind. Proper bedroom dj. Switched to cdjs after I sold them and never felt the same again.

Despite numerous sales I still have the dregs of my large collection left

Approximately 60 or so albums.

They are going to my local charity shop tomorrow .

I tried to give them away to a mate today but he has no room for them so a charitable cause will benefit.

Only records with a degree of rarity will ever become worth "really good money". If there's something unusual about them, then yes condition will become everything, but regular old copies of albums that sold by the truckload will never become worth "really good money" irrespective of condition. The likelihood of albums by the Jam and U2 being worth more than bot all is remote.

I’m more of a Mike Nolan man
Aye but only  after the accident.
Records are practically the definition of mass- produced throw-away consumerist shoit. A small % will even mean something to the original owner, most won't. They'll mean even less to someone else. Unless rarity. Which is for the internet chancer nowadays. Turning them into ashtrays is more fitting because less people smoke now so 2 mostly redundant objets. IOHO obviously.
What happened to 5 minutes? (Not the Stranglers one) can't edit shit but it'll stick 2 unrelated posts, maybe 3, into 1.
Aye 3. Nar probs 4 now. R feck.

Cheers for all replies. Been interesting looking through them and a bit of a shock regards few ebay prices ( though they're probably mint condition, mine are ok). Especially some pic discs including a Billy Idol single I cant even remember having or playing.

30 x 12 inch singles and 22 albums and I know quite a few are missing because theres ones I knew I had not there .

Just sent list to a lad to look at whilst listening to my wife saying you must be mad.

When I say eally good money I mean more than a few quid and in the region of 15 o 30 quid if in ultra condition. Also something else to look out for is LPs pressed in the early 90s transition period to CDs. Some of them are worth lots of money, come to think of it I actually think a Talk Talk LP of this periiod is quite valuable.
