Recommend me a decent DSLR camera

Had our last one stolen ( nikon D3100 ) now looking to replace it with a.new DSLR for under £400.00 can't decide between another Nikon or a Canon. Could someone tell me the pro's and con's òf eacH

I dont think there's much difference between the two brands..Do you have any lenses from the Nikon D3100?.. if so I'd stick with Nikon. (Im a Nikon user for what its worth!)

If you liked the Nikon stick with it. If not, switch to Canon. There are pros and cons to both brands, but I don't think either have any showstoppers, so its more the case of what works for you. (I am a Canon user FWIW)

I used to be into bird photography back when I was a birder and ended up with Canon kit. As I have the lenses am looking for another Canon dslr.

I'd have thought they were much of a muchness but I found many preferred Canon to Nikon in the birding and nature fraternity - indeed many switched from Nikon and lenses to Canon.

I'd suggest staying with your existing lenses and therefore Nikon.
