Recommend me a Bike

Just signed up to bike to work scheme got a budget of £1,000. Will mainly be used for cycling to work when the weather isn't totally shit and occasionally for going to the likes of Hamsterley Forest

Aye mate more than likely be wanting a MTB been looking at some Boardmans and Cubes around the £900 mark

A lad at work was saying look about at other shops I thought it was restricted to Halfords at first
 
I did the C2C on that bike ; shale tracks in whinlatter and Rookhope to waskerley over the moor (slowly).

I did C2C on similar. Wouldn't fancy the tougher tracks around hamsterley on it though.

@Bear You looking at getting a bike on cycle to work scheme? I did that with mine and you defo don't have to stick to Halfords. I used a shop in Guisborough who were quality. Proper bike shop

I got on it mate I seen a bike on Rutlands that was £900 reduced from £1500. Once they gave me a quote for the bike and bits though they add an extra 15% on all sale stuff to cover admin costs :rolleyes:Was going to have to pull £150 of my own money out as would've gone over the £1k. Seen a few sites saying 12/15% to use C2W scheme vouchers at their shops/sites. In the end just went for this for £700 reduced from £1k on tredz then used the £300 on accessories. Tredz didn't add any % on sale stuff
