Over the full season Colback probably edged Cattermole.

I do know that Colback started in EVERY one of our ten victories. The ONLY player in the whole squad to do so. Thats not an agenda, it's a plain f**king fact.
There were a number of players who were vital in the run in, Cattermole was every bit as good as them but no better.

Neither is money if you think Colback leaving on a free was sound management.
If that's your opinion we might as well bulldoze the Academy and open a f**king supermarket.

as I said earlier, you know fuck all about footy, or have an agenda

I'm assuming he played no part in the many more defeats he featured in?

Easy muffin...I don't think missing out on Colback is gonna set the club back at all...you have a weird fixation with a very mediocre player..sort of like the Jozy fan boys!

i must have imagined ranting at my mate about Colback being caught in possesion just before Tettey scored that screamer, was pulled off 8 inutes later, he was f***ing woeful that day, completely overrun in MF by players even more average than him
Aye but, erm, Cattermole made some mistakes this season ya knaaaa

His ratio must be better than all the others. He started in ALL the wins. He played his part in the draws including Cardiff away.

In a WHOLE SEASON we earned TWO f**king points without Colback, both 0-0 draws.
Gus soon realised how much we missed him after a few post Norwich defeats. Colback is the oilman.

I believe the best ratio is Seb.

I'm not sure. Colback played in every win and only missed two of the draws.
Seb didn't play in every win and did play in the defeats post norwich when Colback was out of favour.
I don't dispute what you say but it seems difficult for the maths to work that way. I think i saw threads a while back which included games last season which added to the confusion.

Either way, Colback was involved in all our points bar 2, both 0-0 draws.

He started in many more defeats, does he take his fair share of blame for them seen as though he is the oilman. It seems you're trying to prove he was shite more often than he was decent.

Dinnar mate either. I just remember seeing the table that showed all of our midfielders games to points ratio and Seb was the best then Catts.

I don't remember Seb missing out on many defeats mind. I might be wrong though. He definitely featured in some post norwich defeats that Colback missed, before Poyet realised you can't run an engine very long without oil. The metal parts get hot, expand and eventually blow up, just like the team without Colback.

What about the many defeats he played in? You're really struggling to answer aren't you?
You can't have it both ways. You're trying to big him up as the main reason we won games but won't answer why we lost far more with him in the side.

You're struggling old bean.

What a surprise. Waste of time discussing anything about Colback has Piston just ignores performances where he has been poor and attempted any form of assertiveness.

Every player has bad games and will make mistakes.

I just find that some players are "shite", in the eyes of some no mark posters, to be amazing.

They, quite clearly, are in the wrong job!

We should've sorted Colback's contract out 18 months ago, before De Fanti even arrived.
I didn't realise it was a choice between the two. Just about every player had a part in keeping us up towards the end. The only one who wasn't at his best in that period was possibly Johnson, but he played a significant role mid season.
No one player got us over the line. It was very much a team effort.

Could not agree more with the emboldened text.

If that had been taken care of the ensuing debacle would not have taken place.

How many f***ing times do I have to tell you, that you know fuck all about football, he is a f***ing plodder at best, I hope the ginger bastard plays for them for 10 years for £50k ish a week

Of course he played in defeats, like just about every PL player did last season including Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and of course Man Utd.
Colback missed out on a few of ours when he was out of favour, many others didn't, including Cattermole. Colback's return to the team saw the return of our stability percentage and results soon improved.

Calm the f**k down. You'll spill your f**king coffee.:)

It's actually six years he's signed for. They got in first before West Ham and a few other clubs.

Wait until they realize they are paying 45K a week for a very mediocre midfielder, he's not a game changer and will never set the world alight, 45K a week, them fuckers are giving football a bad name.

Yes but seen as though he is our "oilman" and you're insinuating he is the main reason we won the games we did does he take the majority of blame for the many more defeats he featured in?

You can't have it both ways.
