Realistic managers if Ross goes

This. Hoping we're more ambitious than some of the dross mentioned in this thread.

People suggesting the ex-mag Hughton ffs. Not surprised that it's coming from a staunch Ross supporter, funny that...
Spot on gip, that list is the sort of managers we would have looked at pre takeover.

Nathan Jones, a man who was universally lambasted on a phone in last week by Stoke fans as being "inept, out of his depth and changes 5 or 6 players every week"

All of the above would be roundly written off as being out of their depth and shite within days of taking over at SAFC. I think the only bloke who could take over this club at the moment and be given any time by the fans to get things right is Sam Allardyce.
I dont pretend that my suggestions are necessarily any good - i honestly know very little about the ability of managers in the EFL - Jones's Luton impressed me last year but clearly he hasn't got to grips with Stoke

Paul Cook - got the best out of Grigg 2 seasons ago, wigan always try to play football
Nathan Jones - did a job at Luton but struggling in the championship - again Luton played a reasonably attacking way
Michael Flynn at Newport
Paul Heckinbottom - i wanted us to go for him when we went for Coleman

im sure the smb can come up with better!
Arsene Wenger - massive lads fan from Castletown and his ‘invincibles’ were decent... we’ll probably get Tony Adams!

It has to be someone who will galvanise the fans and add some excitement around the place.

It doesn’t necessarily need to be someone with masses of managerial experience - look at Gerrard with Rangers and Frank Lampard’s Derby last season.
