Yeah he’s probably trying to escape all that. The lad is originally from BurnleyThe Dun Cow is a great pub, but all the hand pumps are American hop IPAs, so not what I'd call real ale. The only bitter is Samson out of a keg. Its obviously what people want, but it all tastes like Brew Dog to me.

The Dun Cow is a great pub, but all the hand pumps are American hop IPAs, so not what I'd call real ale. The only bitter is Samson out of a keg. Its obviously what people want, but it all tastes like Brew Dog to me.
The IPA trend has got way out of hand. The point of multiple handpumps is to offer a variety of beer styles, not half a dozen variations on a theme. And don't get me started on the oxymoron that is a black IPA.
Vaux tap is more a craft keg venue. They have one hand pull - which isn’t always on.Ivy House
