I don't give a stuff about England but I have seen a few posts on here where local rivalries have been put aside in the hope that Carroll performs well for the national side.

Capello has said that the Gateshead Goal Machine ™ will start tomorrow so do you hope that...

A: He plays well, indicating that he could have a good international future

B:He performs well enough to show he will be useful to have in reserve

or

C: He misses a hatful of easy chances, gets both legs broken in a tackle and punches the female paramedic in the ambulance

Which is it?

Do you really need to ask? ;)

I dont wish harm on anyone. However i'll make an exception for Auntie, hope he breaks his leg, they drop him when he's being carried off, he's loaded into an ambulance. the abulance crashes, he falls out the back into the path of an oncoming juggernaut and hes ran over. the cunt.

whats the crack with his bail conditions? must be a canny trek from nolans to london, and he'll never get back in time for his curfew if he plays tomorra.

C, but I hope the paramedic in question knows MMA and her husband is head of some sort of paramilitary faction.

Whever Beardsley, Shearer etc played for England I wanted them to do well. However there are certain players I dont like seeing represent our country - Wise was one, Barton would be one and carroll falls into that category.

Its a 'C' for me ;)

C.

He's beaten up women and glassed someone.

He's scum.

so you're hoping he gets the oppertunity to bash some poor (probably trainee) lassy medic

messed up, what if it was your sister? you'd soon be a B or even an A.

None of the above. I have a genuine concern that Carroll is being picked for England when he has been involved in at least 4 seriously violent incidents, 2 of which involved serious assaults on women (unforgiveable). With footballers current reputation in the gutter it sends out a terrible message. If I was a Newcastle fan I would be genuinely worried about where Carroll's career is going. He clearly has the ability but, like Barton, he is serious danger of wasting that talent.

E : Knock a ballboy out for throwing the ball at the back of his head > Banned for life.

I genuinely hope he does well as he is exactly what the national side needs.
Also if he continues to improve then one of the big clubs are bound to be in for him and I'm not sure Ashley has the resolve to fight them off.

I dislike Newcastle as much as the next Sunderland fan but when someone pulls on an England shirt I will be right behind them. Its not that long ago when we castigated those up the road for booing Smith when he played for England at the pig pen so we should rise above their level.
It's also not that long ago that I stood in a packed Chesters Bar where everyone was shouting Shearer Shearer at the screen when he put us one up against the Germans.I have no doubt we would be doing the same should Carroll score the winning goal in a World Cup Match.

then he'll surely get arrested as there will be a hell of alot eye witnesses.
