Hi everyone,

Your elected representative for the SMB @Ghandi Floss apparently has better plans for his Friday evening than I do for mine (I think he's on holiday), so I bring you news of the first RAWA annual general meeting (AGM). Copy below.

The Red and White Army (RAWA) will hold its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 31st July at 6.30pm, giving all members the opportunity to help shape the organisation’s future.

RAWA was launched in September 2017 and this will be the first AGM now that the group is established and has developed excellent lines of communication with SAFC and the other supporter groups.

Elections will take place for the officer positions of Chairperson, Vice Chairs (2 positions), Secretary, Treasurer and Policy Co-coordinator. If you would like to throw your hat in the ring for any of these positions please complete this form and submit it by the 24th July by email to [email protected].

All submissions will be hosted on our website. All members attending the AGM will have the opportunity to cast their votes.

The AGM will also review all of the co-opted representative positions. We will take on board any gaps identified, look at current positions to see if they work and open up opportunities for individuals to get involved.

Registrations will open soon once we have finalised the location. Until then, please save the date...

If appropriate, a mod making this post a sticky would be fab, thanks.

Is there still a need for RAWA now the takeover has gone through and excellent channels of communication established with the chairman, through Roker Report, ALS and WMS?
Yes....it is needed now more than ever before to build on the work already done. This will ensure that if at all possible OUR club never forgets the most important part of it......US.
Build the links, keep the dialogue going and make it OUR club again.

What's RAWA's position on the maximum number of burgers that should be allocated to each individual who attends the replacement of the pink seats? And does it believe that someone's "bad back" should be taken very generously in to account?

Don't think a bad back is caused by burger eating...

Not sure about that like, by the sound of it, may get a back strain from repetitive action, table to mouth for burger after burger and the pints to wash it down........ Heard Lord Potts has a healthy appetite for everyone else's food as well as his own, if a restrictive covenant is placed on amounts for individuals.......mind that might just be hearsay, over to you Lord Potts? truth or rumor!
