nice one; class lens is the f/1.8. You used your f/1.4 much Ross? it's next-level class like..
mate, I've been that busy lately with work, personal shite, sorting the house that I've taken about 5 snaps with it!

happy birthday Marra.

Did you get a lens with it?

Ordered the 2.8 tamron 28-75mm and like Ross says will be picking the 1.8 50mm up tomorrow night. Will get a nice wide angle lens in time. Next week or summat ;)

 gerrin! that's me, you and Malmó with the same set-up

Amazon returns are a thing of beauty.

Do you expect issues with the 30D with modern lens like smoker?

BTW, if you don't mind grey www.procamerashop.co.uk are class. They have refunded about £1200 in drunken mistakes and not even mentioned it, utterly class service. Bought my body and 5 lens from them all spot on.

Good question. I had naively assumed any EF-fitting Sigma lens would 'just work' on any EOS camera, but after a bit of Googling it sounds like Canon do not share their autofocus algorithms so there may be compatibility issues between old Sigma lenses and new cameras, and vice versa.

They don't offer a rechipping service any more, so it sounds like new Sigma lenses are going to be completely useless.

No such problems with my Toki by the way, that just worked.

Anyone else had autofocus issues using Sigma et al lenses on Canon?

Just me then! :-(

Sigma has gone back for refund and scored an EF-S 17-55 off ebay. The wife will have to wait for a new fridge.
