I went to see The Beat in 2009, having only ever heard Mirror, just because Sonic Boom 6 were supporting and I loved them. Expected nowt, and they absolutely, utterly, blew me away. One of the most memorable bands I've ever seen, and out of all the bands I dragged my wife out to see, they were probably the one she enjoyed the most.

What bloody sad news.
