Rangers

Hank I could be on here forever telling you the issues, but our players have laid down tools since Beale left, especially the players he bought to the club
The results had turned to shit before he left.
No it isn’t
I'd be surprised if its even that level. I don't believer motherwell and Dundee would be anywhere near promotion in it.

Take out the top 2 and its league 2 level.

Unfortunately much of the young promising footballers who should stay with their clubs and improve their league and learn their trade are poached by English clubs before signing a pro at 15-16.
Those who do stay and make their debuts are often lured down not even a full season in and end up chasing the money and disappearing in the system. Money talks.
I've worked around Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen on/off for years and spoke to different fan bases about it. Not just the smaller clubs it's the big two losing out. Ben doak and Rory Wilson being two recent promising lads.

Celtic and rangers should join the national league north

That would be a bit unfair on the 7 or 8 leagues below the National League North....
Could you imagine playing Newcastle 4 times a season? You would get f***ing sick of it

Its normaly 5 or 6 mate. Already played each other in the league cup final this season and have an FA Cup semi final in a few weeks.

It was just the 5 last season as they met in the FA Cup semi-final.

That's 11 meetings in just the last two seasons.
Anyway, I wondred about this while watching the Old Firm game the other day so checked and the numbers are now as follows;

CompetitionRangersCeltic
WinnersRunners UpWinnersRunners Up
League55*335232
Scottish Cup34184018
Scottish League Cup2792115
Total1166011365
*One title shared with Dumbarton

Celtic also have a European Cup win to Rangers Cup winners cup win. A few years back when I looked at this Rangers were miles ahead and as this table does not yet include this seasons league title which Celtic are almost certain to win and they play again the the Scottish cup semi final then its possible Celtic move to within 1 of Rangers in the next month or so and will most probably overtake them in the next few seasons if not next season.

Getting to within 1 this season would actually mean they are both on the same number of outright titles given that tie that Rangers had with Dumbarton in the first ever season.

Every Rangers fan I have ever met and had a prolonged conversation with has got round to mentioning that they have won more than Celtic eventually (I used to work in Glasgow). They are not going to know what to say soon.

Celtic have only dropped 4 points all season and are 41 points ahead of third place. Such an exciting league. You can tell why the broadcasters are all interested in bidding for the rights 😂
Need Hearts, Hibernian or Aberdeen to be bought by a multi billionaire who'll just chuck money at them.

That is some good statistics pal

Even then, they won’t get close to the old firm. I think the turnover for Hearts last year was c£15m. The old firms is around £80m.

The problem the old firm have though (and this is not exclusive to them) is their turnover is significantly less than small EPL clubs. Ultimately clubs like Bournemouth can comfortably outbid the old firm for players.

If Real/Barca get their way with the ESL, and create an almighty mess within UEFA, I can see both old firm clubs jumping ship. Celtic will very quickly apply to join the ESL; Rangers will push to join the English system

Is FFP a thing in the Scottish league? No idea.

None inside the league, but the teams are subject to UEFA FFP rules if they qualify.
Rangers are currently on the 'watchlist' with West Ham and a few other for spending more on wages than the current rules allow (think it's around 75% of income under this seasons rules)
