Benitez is a bad manager for any club not prepared/able to spend a shit load on players/have a good spine of quality players to build upon. The amount of shite he signed at Liverpool was unbelievable outside of Torres, Alonso and Mascherano.

Don't think Arsenal nor Newcastle will give him the sort of money he'll be demanding and one window without funds and the bloke will start moaning about the owner.

f***ing hell Man you can't say that in these parts the bloke is like god up here he can't dee nowt wrang

Even though he had enough games to save the mags from the drop and spent enough money in the championship to have them cruising to promotion

I know he came up against the might that is Oxford utd in the fa cup but you can't hold that against him as any world class manager would struggle in that game

We're happy with Benitez. We could have been stuck with someone like Moyes

Liverpool pre Man City's takeover were an established top 4 side who basically played CL football every season so attracting top class players wasn't difficult. Considering at one point only Chelsea had spent more money than them his transfer dealings were largely bad at the time he was there (those 3 mentioned being his only stand out signings that you would argue were CL quality).

He was often threatening the ownership there despite being one of the consistently higher spenders in the division and has already done it to you guys this season.

As I said you'll soon realise what the blokes like if Ashley doesn't give him £50 million+ a season to spend which is unlikely if last experience is to go by.

Totally agree, he's a chequebook manager.

His last full season that he can be satisfied with and met expectations as a manager was 2008/2009.

And people say Moyes is 'past it'...

The only manager in history to have won the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup can probably be classed as a footballing god
