"With two T20 matches to play this week, MacLeod, Pringle and Coughlin will stay in the north east and train with the first team"

Fair comment, but not so fair when Borthwick, Stoneman and Collingwood have tweeted from Loch Lomand golf course it makes you wonder if they really are training

So 3 lads who have played virtually every game in every format over the past 3 and a half months shouldn't be given a few days away from the game.

By you are hard work!

Surely the time would be better spent with the team, training ahead of the 1 day cup and the final 2 T20 games after 3 defeats in the last week

Days away from cricket are what the team needs right now, a couple of days away to play golf and relax will be far more beneficial than having lads toiling away in the nets after having played so much cricket this season already.

Fair do Harry, I'll take what you say as the reasoned answer :)

Durham are on a bad run at the moment, but i think this group are a hard working dedicated bunch of pros who probably know at this stage of the season a bit of chill out time is better than naughty boys nets.

I must admit given how gash they have been lately their time would be better spent in the nets or working on their piss poor catching as opposed to a jolly boys outing to play golf in Scotland.

Nice of JJ Lewis to give the Collingwood & the lads the time off I suppose

Hang on, is criticism of Durham allowed now?

Hypocrite
It is ironic he came on here pretending to be ITK & slating anyone who said anything negative, but is now cheif slater of all things DCCC

All the netting and practicing hasn't worked for the last 4 games, two days off can only help recharge the batteries.

"The definition of Idiocy, doing the same thing time after time and expecting a different result."

give over man, played a lot of cricket those lads, you need to get away from it

After two whole days away from cricket the 1st team squad returned to training today.

It's been reported that everyone returned fit and unscathed from this extended break, but there was a nasty scare yesterday when one player took his young family for a rare summer trip to the beach, he was so shocked at the price of ice creams that he dropped his wallet narrowly missing his big toe, luckily the only damage was a badly broken into 20 quid note.
