Days away from cricket are what the team needs right now, a couple of days away to play golf and relax will be far more beneficial than having lads toiling away in the nets after having played so much cricket this season already.

Durham are on a bad run at the moment, but i think this group are a hard working dedicated bunch of pros who probably know at this stage of the season a bit of chill out time is better than naughty boys nets.

All the netting and practicing hasn't worked for the last 4 games, two days off can only help recharge the batteries.

After two whole days away from cricket the 1st team squad returned to training today.

It's been reported that everyone returned fit and unscathed from this extended break, but there was a nasty scare yesterday when one player took his young family for a rare summer trip to the beach, he was so shocked at the price of ice creams that he dropped his wallet narrowly missing his big toe, luckily the only damage was a badly broken into 20 quid note.
