Quinn and a new consortium???

Our lasses mate in the airport with him last week and asked if would be prepared to come back and help? No was the answer and it got left at that.

Got the feeling Quinny was a bit sick of all the hassle by the time he left.

I think he went into it with the belief that with Murray gone and Premier League football back the ground would be packed out, but it never really happened. There was a lot of 40k+ gates but I suspect they were boosted by cheapies/freebies.

Then there was the thing with people watching the foreign channel in pubs. He used some wrong words, but I think he felt like people were taking the mick a bit. Here he was getting investment for the team and people couldn’t be fussed to turn up and watch in person.

Also things like the Bent/Gyan transfers seemed to give him a lack of faith in modern footballers too.

Personally I’ll always be grateful for him for having the vision and faith to drag us off our knees a decade or so ago. At the time there was every chance of us heading where we are now.
What investment did he get him and his Irish mates borrowed in the clubs name and he admitted on sky sports he sold Bent and Gyan.

That's your opinion and fair enough

Which bit? Merchandise? 1.6 million followers on Facebook. I would bet canny money that nigh on them all, have the minimum of one shirt. That equates to around 50 million quid.
You think safc get all the money from shirt sales?
Every club has more Facebook fans than they have go to the match.

If safc was such a big cash cow waiting to be milked ES would be beating bidders off with a shitty stick.

As I’ve posted on here loads of times: “The biggest distance measurable by mankind is that between a fans opinion of his club and the rest of the worlds”

The Chairman of Shields has held a meeting to discuss what Short wants etc for the club, backed by a consortium.
