You would be wasting your time as they don't have to take names. However they do have to put social distancing measures in place.Acceptable to grass them up?

My local (which I’m in now) takes my name and phone number every time I come. It’s also pretty well Covid set up, decent distancing, table service via an app.
Mine also..

Worth a call to the council who. An go round and have a word
No mate. The guidelines are worded using "should" not must. Data protection is too much of a minefield, especially after GDPR was introduced.I thought it was government rules that you had to do track and tra e as in name and number.

It's optional if you want to leave your details. Under GDPR they can't make you leave details. It's the same as when you sign up for something online you used to have to opt out, now you have to opt in. The sign in book is a token for when the council or the plod turn up.They had a piece of paper as you walked into a pub a couple of weeks ago that they wanted your name, address and phone number on.
It was there for anyone to see that walked in.
That cannot possibly be the correct way to do it.
You could sign the book Rumpelstiltskin if you wanted and stick 999 as your phone number.
There is no legal obligation to give your details.

Doesn't help much with the track and trace, I'd hope someone wouldn't phone the police asking for him.
There is no point to it.
Or did I just choose the wrong fairly tale character perhaps Pinocchio would be more apt.
