Promotion odds

We're completely being over looked and it's great. Lowe was on SSN the other night and mentioned every team around us as possible playoff contenders but us

He commented on how good Boro are, ignoring the fact we played them off the park at the weekend. Preston were very lucky to pick up a point up here.

The love in between him and Rowett was sickening mind.

It's right IMO.

Regardless of the result last week, Boro have a far superior chance of promotion.

Things are going great at the moment but teams like Boro, Norwich, Watford, WBA are a canny bit ahead of us in terms of promotion chances over the course of a full season IMO (and should be expected to be, of course).

It is often said thew playoffs are a lottery.

This season it is also a lottery as to which teams get into the playoffs.

Boro have no more chance than us - provided we replace Cory Evans with an experienced centre mid ;)

So regardless of the fact we played them off the park they have a much better chance. Interesting.

You are a good poster but I really don’t see how you’ve came to that conclusion regarding Boro.

We have got a better goalkeeper

We have got a better defence

They are possibly better than us in central midfield, especially with Evans out now.

We have got a far far better front 4/5 now as well

We’ve got as good a chance as anybody IMO.

You can understand why we’re long odds.

Just promoted from League 1 we currently sit in 9th place.

Of eight games against the current top six we’ve only won 2, drawn 1 and lost 5.

It’s great the feel good factor after recent performances and the prospect of some good young players being added to the squad but to a hard nosed realist we’re still a long shot for promotion.
