There's always the professional mourners at a Catholic funeral. They do the responses just a split second before they are due so everyone knows they are just that little bit better at being Catholic than everyone else. Same with the kneeling down, standing up Hokey Cokey business, they are slightly out of sync with everyone else because they are competitive mourners.
At my mate's Gran's funeral, everyone who went for communion filed past the coffin. The last woman in the queue was wearing a Christmas Pudding woolly hat and kissed the coffin. Nobody had a clue who she was.:lol:
 
Don't get why the priest can't just tell her she isn't welcome unless she knew the deceased or family. Simple really.

Or why they don't just say, attend the service if you want but then make sure she doesn't make her way for the wake.

Priest has already had a word with her but like he said he can hardly ban her from the church

The families could stop,her if priest points her out to the deceased family
