Yeah more than likely. Dubious of any game that is free to play as it often just a minefield of micro transactions.

It's not radically different to what they're doing now tbf. i.e. eFootball already in the name, they give the game away for nowt, albeit MyClub, a few months after release and if you want more, you pay.

The fact that they'll be releasing stuff like option file ability at a later date just sounds to me like they're way behind finishing it. Doing an EA/Dice with Battlefield, "Here's the main game lads....we'll finish the rest later on, maybe."

They’ve already been at it for a while.
They didn’t bring out a ‘21 version but made a major patch for 20 and renamed it eFootball 21.

They’re just banking on making the base game free to play and hoping everyone gets sucked into their version of Ultimate team
