Pritchard, Gooch and Batth - Mowbray not ruling out them leaving

Whys he not starting them then?
Maybe speakman tells Mowbray who’s in the squad and who isn’t? He literally controls everything else transfers etc so is wouldn’t surprise me if he dictates who is in starting 11 too. Might as well be manager really.

It’s the model get them in cheap develop them sell them on.

We all knew this, yet suddenly everyone is going on like raging Fannie’s as if it’s some sort of surprise.

Making the decisions based on money instead of what's best for the club as usual, big mistake getting rid of those 3.

Well I for one didn't think they meant a full squad of "potential" profit making kids as a first team.

I think that's total bollocks mate.

I’m going to go against the grain a bit here. I don’t think it would be the end of the world tbh.

Gooch - plenty of cover at right back and right wing. Don’t think he starts over Hume or Roberts ever. He’s a useful player to have around because he can fill in in lots of places. I don’t see him starting though.

Pritchard - why do people think we brought Dack in? Just for a laugh? The most obvious like-for-like replacement ever, he’s just not fit yet having missed preseason.

Baath - clearly wants to leave. That’s what all of the reports have said for months now. What are we supposed to do? Just keep an unhappy player? It’s not ideal, I think he’s the next best cb at the club after Ballard. Hopefully Triantis settles and adjusts well and O’Nein becomes takes Gooches current role in the squad with Alese to come back too obviously.

What would you do?
How much will we get for them?
What wages are they on?
Are we near FFP limits?
Are we trying to bring in a striker and it’s the only way we can do it, considered that?
I have a feeling that the wage bill is probably not even in the top 6 for Championship clubs.

If we are going to stick as rigidly to the model we will probably be in this league for a long long time.

Batth is currently walking down Seaham sea front with his daughter. Looked smaller in person than I imagined.

Where did you get that info from, because on here today I have seen we are one of the lowest, we shouldnt be in top 6, 3 relegated teams full of overpaid players and 2 teams who fucked it last season

At a rough guess I'd say you took over the value of his remaining 6 months and spread it out over the 18 months that you gave him, swapping short term wages for an extra year. Rough calculations based on 27k a week at Stoke would be around 9k a week? Sound about right?

Give or take a couple of thousand a week, you'd be about right I'd say.

It feels like the owners are sucking out all of the goodwill and optimism from the club. It doesn't make any sense. Either they have a master plan which is going to blow us away or they are detached from the reality of how the fanbase is feeling right now.
Geniuses or idiots?
