Pritchard, Gooch and Batth - Mowbray not ruling out them leaving

I hate how owner after owner comes in and uses us as some kind of pet project. The fans have backed the club in their tens of thousands, but it seems that yet again the owners have very little interest in getting us back in higher circles.

It seems that the owners would run the club the same if there were attendances of 6,000.

I imagine this situation might help the likes of Stewart, Clarke and the 3 mentioned make their decisions in the coming weeks.

But we we are told trust the process …… I’m starting to think last season was lucky
Last season we had Amad, one man doesn't make a team they say, I disagree.i think if we make top ten this year it will be a miracle. And I think Mowbray will be gone by Christmas.

What if losing these wages is the difference bringing in a decent striker or not, would people be happy with that?

Think those 3 will be hoovering up quite a bit of the playing budget. Think we could find another Batth type for less than he's on - biggest earner apparently.

I don’t want them to leave, but given we need other additions and the squad is already quite big some will have to make way. That’s when biggest earners get looked at.

Dack is essentially Pritchard's replacement. Gooch, like O'Nien is a good lad to have around the place. Knows and gets the club and his versatility is a big plus but if Huggins can stay fit, something we can't definitely rely on at the moment then he's expendable too especially if his wages can be used to improve the squad in other areas. Batth is the big one. Losing him would be a massive miss at this moment in time. His organisation and leadership is undeniable. I get that they're putting their faith in youth with Triantis and Seelt but it's a massive risk.

Wouldn't surprise me. He was on £27k a week at Stoke and whilst he's not on anywhere near that, he'll be on a decent wedge.

The model is the model, but the notion that every player must have a resale value is just nuts. The key value of a player is what they bring to the club during the period of their contract. It's counter productive not to hold on to experience, older pros because they lack a resale value when they are instrumental in increasing the value of younger, more inexperienced players.

Last seasons achievements were massively masked by just how good Amad was for us. If we had lost him at any point, we'd have finished three or four places lower than we did (in my opinion of course)

The other thing as well, Danny Batth is only 32. Hes not ready for retirement. He'd easily be worth another 1 year deal, if not 2, after this season.

Dack was brought into replace Pritchard I think. Batth & Wright's replacement are Seelt & Triantis. That's how I'm seeing it anyway
Fully agree. Tony convinced them to bring in his man (Dack) and I assume he knew it would be at the expense of Pritch. Dack will be competing with Jobe and Rigg for game time. Having Pritch is one too many.

Also, Gooch is replaced by Colin Dogba and Batth sold to pay for Ballards increased contract then I don’t think there should be any complaints.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Cory Evans replacement comes in before the transfer window along with at least one more experienced CF.

We have a big squad though so there will have to be some departures.

At a rough guess I'd say you took over the value of his remaining 6 months and spread it out over the 18 months that you gave him, swapping short term wages for an extra year. Rough calculations based on 27k a week at Stoke would be around 9k a week? Sound about right?

Danny batth seems to be getting forced out because we want to have players who are comfortable playing the ball out from the back, which he isn't great at. Also because he's quite slow now, we have to play deeper when he plays meaning it's harder to press from the front. Issue being is defenders still meed to be a le to defend and he is our best at that
