Priority 2 or 3?

I was in the ticket office this morning to try and get my 9 year olds membership number activated. I was told he couldn't have it activated as he has no purchase history (that's because I buy his tickets, but I use both of our numbers to do so). Cut a long story short, even though I purchased Walsall tickets for us the lass said I'm in phase 2 and he's in phase 3. I don't see how I can even buy him a ticket in phase 3 if I can't get his account activated on ticketmaster

Correct.

Home purchase history 17/18, 18/19 = phase 2
Home purchase history 16/17 and beyond+Walsall = phase2
Walsall and anything not above is phase 3

I can see the confusion caused though, as Walsall is a home game within the 2018/19 season which would mean anybody who purchases a ticket for that should technically meet the criteria for phase two.

Has it been clarified what 'beyond' even means? 16/17 and seasons further back in time than that or 16/17 and more recent? If it's the latter it just seems a completely pointless to use that word to add confusion as the seasons more recent than that fall into the first bullet point anyway

16/17 and backwards I'd take that as.

Correct.

Seeing it written down like this makes it even more likely to me that the 16/17 and beyond basically means ANY purchase history going back years and not just 16/17 onwards plus a Walsall ticket makes you eligible for Phase2.

@redjaxx - I know you had similar issues with your dad.

Whilst still not clarified officially anywhere I think this sounds correct like.

I qualify for priority 2 with home tickets from this season, but not sure about my mate, he has away ticket purchase in 16/17 and he's bought a Walsall ticket.

Looking at the wording of the new statement he should be ok, but I'm unsure cos its not a home ticket purchase history even though the wording does not specifically ask for it, but SAFC have previous for their ambiguous statements on this

According to the emails I have received from the SAFC SLO, phase 2 is specifically for home purchase history only. I have asked for extra clarification as as you say, the website doesn't specify this in the '16/17 or beyond' part

It seems he won't be OK given there's a few now in exactly the same situation with away tickets only and they can't activate their ticketmaster account. The club will no doubt need to update the phase info again quickly before phase 2 starts or they will just let people find out the hard way.

is this still a thing like? I thought it got knocked on the head.
If anyone has bought any home ticket since purchase history started (so basically up to fuck knows how many years ago) and can activate their account on tickemaster then it looks like buying a Walsall ticket will get you into Phase 2

Checkatrade Trophy final ticketing update

To clarify, Priority 2 is open to:

  • Supporters who have a recent home league ticket purchase history with the club (this refers to the previous two seasons, from 2017-18 onwards).
  • Supporters with a purchase history from the 2016-17 season or beyond, who have also purchased a Walsall ticket. Please note, the Walsall ticket must be purchased by 10am on Monday 11 March in order to meet the criteria.

he's been able to activate his account like

I just don't want to get to Tuesday expecting to buy 5 tickets and find we can only get 4 be nice to know for sure

The 'beyond' piece is fairly ambiguous too, the lad in question probably does have a home ticket somewhere in the past but he's lived away for a long time now

The wording needs to be amended, it's like it's been rushed and not proof read.

Based on what it says now any purchase history (including away) plus a Walsall ticket gets you in phase 2.

My only safc.com ticket purchase on my account is for Barnsley on Tuesday , so that means i go into Priority 3 right?

Priority 2, Tuesday 12 March

Priority two is open for...

Priority 3, Wednesday 13 March
Priority 3 is for any remaining supporters who have a recent league ticket purchase history with the club.

If you can find your gold card your in phase 2

Yes that's exactly what it is and it's going to possibly mean those with more recent purchase history will miss out in Phase 2. Along with the Home part missing from Phase 3 so away games don't count either they may as well delete the Phase 2/3 info completely after they sort out the ST Holders and start it again!

It’s
- if you’ve got proven purchase history since we relegated from the PL.
OR
- if you’ve no purchase history since we dropped out the PL BUT you have bought a Walsall ticket.

...isn’t it?

My 9 year old has no purchase history in his name (I buy them). If I register an account in his name and buy another Walsall tkt in his name will that get him in phase 2? Anybody know?

Doesn't look like it. I've done both of those things on my brother's account but can't activate it, a lot of people on this thread having the same problems.

Cant go but wanted to get one for my brother.
Have a Barnsley ticket and a Walsall ticket so thought I’d be in P3. Is this correct as won’t let me activate Ticketmaster account?

- if you’ve purchase history since purchase history began BUT you have bought a Walsall ticket.

Read through this thread mate as it seems you won't as you're not the only one.

I don't think it does, that's one of the difficult scenarios this plan doesn't cover, loads in the same boat, Stewart the Don was offerring to help people in that situation for a while on twitter yesterday

I'm lucky cos my 11 year old has a member number from an old season ticket and I still use it for our matchday tickets

Does anyone think priority 3 will happen? I'm expecting it to sell out on priority 2

I got it wrong myself as it's this so all is forgiven SAFC as I can now see how easily mistakes can be made

but the statement doesn’t specify HOME in the second bullet point, thats what’s causing confusion. If the above is true its a disgrace, if it’s only home purchases it should say this clearly, it doesn’t.
I’ve got all away history and was able to register on Wednesday so have an account, bought a Walsall ticket too as the lack of the word HOME in the second bullet point lead me to beleive i would go into phase 2, now it looks like I don’t even qualify for phase 3. Not sure how i could register at all if this is the case.
