Prime Lens For A Nikon D3300 (DX Series)

Can anybody offer advice on a decent but cheap prime lens (sub £200 - the lower the better so long as the quality is good) that would be compatible with a Nikon D3300. I've looked at both the Nikkor f1.8 35mm and the 50mm f1.4 and f1.8. Are there any other lenses that are compatible with this body e.g. Sigmas and the like that anyone can recommend or is it best punting for the f1.8 35mm to begin with? This will be my first prime lens.

I'm a Canon user so can't really comment on the Nikon stuff from personal experience.

WhenI had Nikon gear (d5300), my first prime was the 35mm 1.8. Great little lens for the price.

Depends. I got the 50 as I wanted to do more people stuff but the 35 would be better 'all round'.
