Prime (drink)

Which one?

Shields'. Same distance from home to Boldon but feels more like home than Boldon. I have known it is there since it was opened. There was a load of old industrial units on the site when I was little. I used to park up by Wicks and walk down through the carpark to the old JobCenter to sign on or shop.

why's that weird?

Because its not even like the game is in short supply. On occasions of big game launches like Fifa, I've seen it still on the shelves of the supermarket the same day. You can get it on launch day over the counter or delivered to your door.
I find it very weird that people will wait outside a closed shop, just to get something a few hours earlier than other people.

Prime contains two artificial sweeteners. Sucralose is the first, and it’s been shown in a medical study to negatively impact insulin function in healthy adults.

Acesulfame potassium is the second artificial sweetener in Prime, and it’s been found to have both negative effects on the gut and negative effects on the brain based on animal studies.

We’re surprised that a company as well-funded as Prime chose cheap first-generation sweeteners rather than compounds like stevia, monk fruit extract or erythritol which seem to be healthier based on early research.

Prime also contains natural flavor, which is an essentially unregulated term. There are thousands of chemical compounds which can be used for flavoring drinks, and without listing the actual compound used it’s impossible for consumers or researchers to determine if the product is safe. This is why we generally recommend avoiding products with “natural flavor” as a listed ingredient.

Whilst research shows it has way less harmful ingredients than Gatorade it is not perfect. I point to the ingredients above.

Absolutely gutted I didn’t know about this 2 weeks ago we were in Florida and saw them, seen some bloke is taking them as payment at his restaurant

Aye George Pub and grill,
Report it for price gouging.

I reported loads of people selling baby formula milk at stupid prices during the pandemic when there were shortages as that really angered me.
Can understand reporting baby milk but haway this is just some glorified lucozade sport, kids don't actually need it

Just been on facebook and there are small kids posing with their bottles of prime that they nee doubt got for Christmas. Ffs

Proper black mirror shit this like.
It’s just marketing shite, can’t see too much of a problem with it to be honest. Must be stupid to pay mad prices for it, and it tastes like shit.

Got the bairn a bottle for xmas. Tastes just like that snapple stuff you can get from america. You can get that in some shops here for just £1.50 and in a glass bottle

Did he drink it?

Genuinely a bit bemused by this.

Next level this though. I can understand good products being in demand, but this is someone else.

Can understand kids wanting to be seen with certain trainers on or certain clothes but it baffles me begging parents and being scammed on Facebook to be seen with a bottle of water.
Thieves charging £8-£10 a bottle or more, an absolute disgrace. I'm delighted my bairn has zero interest in that bollocks 😎

Had half of it. Probably had other half today. Tastes very sugary like. Said its just so he can see what its like. Kids obviously talking about it at school.
