Our youth system hasn't long produced England's number 1 and there's five already in the first team set up in pre season and one is sixteen

Bar Pickford, Henderson and colback who have we produced to play to the top level in 20 year? The kids in the set up now are filling squad places - league 1 and 2 players at best - luckily the better of them are at their level now

Okay if you say so.

challenging in the top half of the Premier League which is where this club should be!
This sounds like something a mag would say and we would call him deluded for it.
We do not have a divine right to be there, there are about 20 other teams could say the same thing in that case.
SD is doing the right thing, build steadily and live within our means anything else would be stupid and irresponsible

We've spent nothing - i expected us being debt free to speculate just a little, nowt daft but its plain to see there's not a pot to piss in atm
Yet we have spent. Sure it's buttons compared to the Premier League but last time i checked we weren't in the Premier League.

have any League 1 clubs spent more than us this transfer window?

I'll never boo the players or manager mind, always back them its I just don't 'get' the owner - I think he's a charlatan who got lucky
Fair play marra...really hope we get a win and we are all looking forward....think we all deserve it

Prove me wrong then

Investment in the team would be a start, he's all soundbites
He has invested in the team we have paid fees for two and those on frees are being paid. Mgeouch and MgGlauighlin were good free transfers. It’s how it works in League 1.
They are also paying the likes of Cattermole and Oviedo £40k a week.
We have premier league out goings and League 1 in comings. The debt might have been paid by Short but the on-going running costs aren’t.
Also need to consider the rules around % of wages vs % of income.
I have no idea how it will work out but to say they’ve done nothing is unfair imo

I don't care what other teams do, I want to see my team competing to get back where, in my opinion we belong - he bought the club for a song, we're more or less debt free so I'd like to see him put his money where his twitter finger is - the bloke hasn't a pot to piss in man

Blind optimism there mind

Wahey we still exist - I'd rather cheer winning football but whatever floats your boat.

1 The fact we still exist is a reason to be very happy after the past 5 seasons.

2 What a coincidence! I want to cheer winning football too. It's just I've decided I'm going to wait until the football season actually starts before I make a judgement about whether I'm "cheering winning football".

Because if I judge the team now before I watch them play that's actually a 'fantasy' rather than 'reality'.

It’s not it’s facts as to the situation we are in, I also said I had no idea how it would work out

You'll think SD is the saviour no doubt

Click on his posting history and you'd probably just shorten this to "mag".

Non of us do, but thinking they've done a good job to date is barmy - unproven manager (who I like BTW), and a load of frees and button signings to compliment a bunch of kids who'll never make it - league 1 mediocrity here we come

Why would you do that?

I answered your post point by point, and you didn't reply to either of them.

Instead you're trying to get me to respond to something i never said by trying to put words in my mouth.

How about (as I did), you quote me directly and respond directly to what I said?

OK - we were never going out of business short stated many times he'd cover the clubs costs and I'm passing opinion on the new owners performance, appointments and signings to date and he's doing nowt for me

Better than blind pessimism.

I've followed us long enough man I'm not breaking the habit of a lifetime

You don’t know they won’t make it though, the young lad we signed today is very highly thought of by those that have watched him regularly. Personally I’d rather watch players like that than the mercenaries we’ve been used to.
You said Donald has done nothing but say you like the manager, who do you think chose the manager and pays his wages
