Either that or one of the many PL fans who prefer to support sunderland if they are there but fucked off as soon as we weren't ! Very Magesque though ' don't care what it costs but should be challenging in the PL'As I said in an earlier post. If you look at the OP's posting history you may quickly decide he/she is nothing more than a mag WUM.
I’m sorry but I just can’t agree. Absolutely it should be our aim but to say they’ve achieved nothing until we are in League 1... we have to get to the championship first would you give any credit for that.If they can't deliver on that then they shouldn't be here.
It would be step one, and it depends on how long it takes.I’m sorry but I just can’t agree. Absolutely it should be our aim but to say they’ve achieved nothing until we are in League 1... we have to get to the championship first would you give any credit for that.
We haven't even played a competitive game yet, what the frig is there to smile about.
Not at all. He'll have proved bot all in my estimations until we're in the Premier League. I couldn't give a flying fuck about what colour the seats are, how we're not letting the nasty agents take the piss, and how many hours Charlie boy has been putting in down the ticket office. It's superficial nonsense.

Haven't you got a crossword to fill in?Well in my case it's not being you![]()
To say he's proved nothing until we're in the Premier League is as daft as statement as I've seen on here in a good while. Donald and co are in the process of arresting the terminal slide of this club towards oblivion, which is where it was heading, and that in itself is a major achievement. Of course, anyone can say we've not won a competitive game yet and that's right, but progress has and is being made at a fairly rapid pace.
Should be the only target this season - the longer we are in L1 the harder it will be to get out of. Thats why I think he's doing the whole PR stunt to get the fans onside before the inevitable shitstorm because he himself hasn't got the funds to provide us fans with what we expect

Maybe I'm not treating League 1 with enough respect here, but I thought even that clown Coleman would have a decent chance at getting us promoted this season. So far we've changed the manager which was forced upon us anyway, and now we're getting somewhere with a transfer policy that doesn't look to have changed in any way shape or form from the last regime. I want promotion, and to be honest I expect it a bit too. Why not? Why shouldn't we? It's League 1. Wycombe Wanderers got promoted. Let's see if we can compete in the Championship and then we'll talk about progress.
It amazes me how some get on here and bitch about the mags sense of entitlement yet it's posts like this that show some of our supporters are just as deluded with a sense of entitlement.
Get a grip man. We were in the Prem for 10 years and now we're paying the price for mismanagement of catastrophic proportions.
It's like rehab from an accident fella, you've gotta learn to stand before you can walk and walk before you can run. The club needs fixing first and foremost and then we can push towards where we all want us to be.
Clamouring for instant success is absolutely ridiculous especially if the only reason is because we were "once there". Christ, i used to shag fit birds but i've got a bit of work to do if i want to achieve that again.

No it isn't.The transfer policy's light years away from the last regime man....get a grip. And if we can compete in the Championship you agree that's progress, but that's still not the Premier League. The seeds of future progress are being sown now......a young, hungry manager, complete revamp of the management team at all levels, younger, hungrier players which we're not paying the earth for or to, the offloading of overpaid nooses round our neck which we hope to see in the coming week....to say there's no progress just isn't right.
Is expecting to be competitive in L1 deluded like? I take it you're happy to spend season after season in this god awful league
You obviously haven't read what i actually said which unfortunately appears to be the norm for the doom mongers on this board.
I believe what i said that we need to stand, then walk before running.
But hey, if you'd prefer us to splash the cash for instant success and suffer the fate of clubs like Portsmouth, Villa and co then so be it. Hasn't worked that well for us over the last few seasons has it?
I'm sure the club staff who got made redundant appreciate the fact that the club was not self sufficient.
How the hell do you run your own finances?
Would expect nothing more from the clowns on this place. The pitch forks are being sharpened before a ball has been kicked.

1. We have spent more than most clubs, if not all in League 1 so the squad has been improved so as to be able to challenge for promotion. The club is basically debt free apparently - speculate just a little to improve/build the squad - no-one is saying splash millions we can't afford. So come on then - will you be happy to stay in L1 for more than a year? if so how long do you give them?
My own finances are fine btw - debt free, money in the bank
Would expect nothing more from the clowns on this place.
Wait until we are not 10 points clear by end of September.
What do 'us' fans expect?
And what makes you think we won't be?I'm starting to think League 1 football - personally I'd expect us to be competitive and be challenging for promotion this season
If you expect anything other than a well run club living within its means, then your setting your sights too high. We have no Devine right to be in the premier league and I’m personally happy to see us trying to build the right way.Should be the only target this season - the longer we are in L1 the harder it will be to get out of.
