Some rhymes from TrueBlueArmy (in reply to Nobody else can hack it, stick with Jackett)
  • He's not worth a punt, sack the coont
  • Strike a light, he's absolute shyte
  • Don't dally and tarry, send for Harry
  • He must go, get Howe! [ :eek: ]
  • That rhyme's not made in heaven, take a bow // But go doesn't rhyme with Howe! [ :lol: ]
  • The abject performances are many, dismiss with haste the Kenny
A Pompey-Sunderland match theme in contrast to the the anti-Jackett theme above.
  • Can feel in my bones, winner comes from Jones
  • They just aren't ready, for a cross from McGeady
  • The lads all like, another header from Wyke
  • The free kick from Maguire, will make the score go higher
  • Thanks to Kenny, they won't score any

Those are not my rhymes (the first set), I was reporting the posts in the Pompey forum.

If their players are in as much disarray as their support, we could pick up all 3 points :cool:

On a more serious note, this one (from another thread) is how they feel about Jackett, reminds me of Parkinson.


I don’t know if you saw his post match interview on Satdee but when he was asked what went wrong instead of talking generally about tactics, selection, motivation etc he started picking over the mistakes for each goal. He either didn’t get the question or tried to avoid it and immediately began focusing on detail and not the bigger picture. We were then given a short insight (if it was needed) into his football philosophy - defence, defence, defence. There was no mention at all of play in any other area of the pitch. That made it obvious that all he is after in a match is a clean sheet — he had no opinion on our play in any other area of the pitch which maybe brought about those mistakes and limited us to a weak penalty. It's no wonder he is dishing up such unimaginative garbage every week.
