Saturday's a strange day to return. Thought they normally returned on a Monday/Tuesday.

Must be some income involved in that to trail all the way over to NZ!!
doubt it to be honest. the NZ FA don't have any, and they're playing sydney fc there. i can't see many locals being that bothered. it makes very little sense
I wouldn't be surprised if he was just gonna do the Uruguay games and then leave after that. I doubt he'll be there until July 13th anyway, or at least I'd hope he wasn't.Gus is contracted to ITV for the World Cup.

Over 2,000 Mags will be there though.
Didn't play anywhere near enough games last year, flew all the way to hong kong & we didn't even get 2 games out of it.July 5th. Connor Wickham said on Soccer AM.
Just hope there's a few British games this year, last year was crap.
That's a good point actually, I mean as well as the 24 hours of travelling and huge time difference, the weather in the South Island is pretty grim in July as well, not much better than a North-East winter at times. Hardly the usual sunshine pre-season preparation that most teams have, I bet the players are chuffed that they're missing out on Portugal or Spain for that.well 20 to 30 turn up to watch the derby in their supporter's club 'headquarters' in sydney so that might be a little generous. can't see many sydney fans making their way over ether, barely a handful go over for the a-league game away to wellington. dunedin in the middle of winter is not at all appealing.
