Spot on!
Sunderland and Leeds are light years ahead of Sunderland without any doubt
Now that is a circular argument

Sunderland has 10 months of cold winter mate.londons less than 300 mile away though, theres not that much difference in weather
All stayed for a year.Hate to say it but the is not a brand new problem, if that's the case how did bruce attract bent, gyan, cana, welbeck? The problem is desire to play and if they don't want to play for this club, balls to them !
The simple fact is if the level of club and money offered is similar, 9 times out of 10 a player will choose London.
Yes, I should read what I have written before I post itNow that is a circular argument![]()
If you had the money that they did you would probably appreciate those kinds of things too, a lot more than the f***ing North East of England.I hate seeing the North East getting a bad rap.
Fuck millionaire footballers with their shallow, vacuous, materialistic WAGS.
Let the fuckers stay in London and spend the money they 'steal' weekly ..the majority of the capital a shit hole anyway.
The north east is an awesome region with great countryside, coastline and too many places of natural beauty to mention here.
Its sad, but most footballers don't have the intelligence to appreciate anything beyond £1000 bottles of champagne, sleeve tattoos, Porsches and plastic titties.
Rant over
This.
Newcastle is a bigger and better city to live in. Maybe potential Sunderland players wouldn't think that they would be safe if they went there whilst playing hereBollocks, Newcastle have managed to attract good players in the past and so have the mighty Boro.
Why can't we?

I doubt many of our players would live in central Newcastle mate, what about the likes of Ponteland ect.Newcastle is a bigger and better city to live in. Maybe potential Sunderland players wouldn't think that they would be safe if they went there whilst playing here

Not live in the centre just going out for the night.
Bound to be on edge especially if out with a las.Plenty do, never really seen much bother from it, I reckon most of our players could have a night out in Newcastle and barely be given a second glance.
Have to spend it if we want to keep getting mega millions over the next few seasons.Something we dont have much of.
I think a few live/have lived on the quay side.I doubt many of our players would live in central Newcastle mate, what about the likes of Ponteland ect.
We have to be careful. Its no fun, but we have to be careful.Have to spend it if we want to keep getting mega millions over the next few seasons.
Balance is required. We have to be careful. Its no fun, but we have to be careful.
The two cities are a few miles apart! There's no difference for a player weighing up a move to the NE, in deciding whether to join the Mags or safc. None at all. I'm sure that simple fact doesn't suit the Mirror's agenda.Nowt wrong with what Poyet is saying but the Mirror love twisting it to get a dig in at Sunderland.
That joke of a publication is so pro Mag and anti Sunderland it's a joke. They constantly love having digs at Sunderland as a place. Like that time they ran the story about Medina choosing to live in vibrant Newcastle rather than run down Sunderland.
Mind, it's owned by Trinity Mirror who also own the Mackem hating Ronnie Gill.
I would argue you all have no clue what a winter is like sitting here in Minneapolis, MN USA!!!!!Very ugly? London winter? This guy has no effing clue what an ugly winter is.
