Nowt wrong with what Poyet is saying but the Mirror love twisting it to get a dig in at Sunderland.

That joke of a publication is so pro Mag and anti Sunderland it's a joke. They constantly love having digs at Sunderland as a place. Like that time they ran the story about Medina choosing to live in vibrant Newcastle rather than run down Sunderland.

Mind, it's owned by Trinity Mirror who also own the Mackem hating Ronnie Gill.

He's spot on.

To be honest I totally understand why a player, if given a choice between the NE or a club in the same sort of position in London would opt for the latter.

Having all that money in one of the best cities in the world must be unreal. Also for foreigners there's a lot more for them to do in a mote multi cultured place.

Just the reality of it and it's out of our control.

On the plus it does mean that we will end up with a core of players that are more dedicated and less of the mercenary nature.

“I love London, and with better weather it would be the best city in the world to live in, but they have four months of winter which is very ugly.

Very ugly? London winter? This guy has no effing clue what an ugly winter is.

whats wrong with plying your trade at SOL or AOL then living outside of Sunderland - Newcastle is only up the road and nobody condems that place. There is nothing wrong with Sunderland anyway but we seem to have an apologetic response or inferiority complex when describing the city and surrounds. No difference to Leeds or Liverpool and superior to Hull FFS!

It might be because Poyet has a lot of South American targets. Harsh winters are tough if you aren't used to it.
