Thankfully it was just a short outage.
It’s a serious issue going forward and has been for many years.

We are more than happy for anyone other than the UK to take care of our energy needs.

The Blair government was talking about energy crisis back in the late 90s
We have the whole UK network in about 25 cables running across in the north sea floor bed, the Russians have been trying to find them using submarines, if they can find them they will be able to control the entire UK.

This is one thing we cannot blame on Brexit. If anything Brexit will solve our energy issues with us always being on the edge of our capacity and having to import from Nuclear led France. Once all the heavy industry is decimated and the demand drops dramatically we will be fine and wont need the French stuff anymore. Only the poor will need to resort to the candles, which might be quite a lot of candles mind.

Importing a little bit from them as we speak as well as from the Netherlands and Belgium;

I am a bit of a geek. That's one of my favourite sites!!

If you click on the french map/flag in the top left hand corner, it switches to the French grid. I think they plan to add more countries as well at some point.

The French are currently using about 30% more than we are, which is normal as they actually make things in France, and almost all their generation at the moment is nuclear and Hydro (which comes from the Alps). They export power to all the countries around them due to their foresight to build a nuclear base and they also own a lot of our energy companies becuase we sold them to the highest bidder. The French nationalised power companies make profits in the UK and use those to subsidise the energy for French consumers. That is the legacy of allowing the private sector to own and run essential services.

This is what happens when you dont invest in infrastructure. The roads, rail, airports are the same aswell not fit for purpose.

We went off for 10 minutes in Gosforth.

It’s now a case of spot the families who are away in holiday as the house alarms are still going off.
