Just tripped over my wireless ADSL router and snapped the end of the power adapter. Virgin quoting 3-5 working days for a new router in the post but got some bank hols coming up so I'm obviously gutted about the wait. Anywhere in Sunderland that sells a canny selection of the adapters? Long shot I know but it's all I can try other than wait.

D link DSL-2640R Wireless router. Theres a tenna in it for anyone that has a spare

Appreciate that marra. I didn't expect PC World to sell just the power adapters like? Great that they do I'll go get one on my dinner break :-D

Dunno about Sunderland, but Maplins at the Metro Centre.

Or try a Tandy/Office Works/PC World if there are any, and be prepared to just get the right volts/amps, but not connector, and cut the cables and join the old router connector to the new adapter.

They're only about £7 new man. Any 12V adaptor should do the trick.

Do you have a spare metal coat hanger?. If so straighten it out, turn the socket 'on', push one end of the coat hanger in the bottom left hole in the socket and the other end in your router, help connectivity by using your mouth....

EDIT: DO NOT DO THE ABOVE, IT WILL RUIN YOUR COAT HANGER, AND MAY RESULT IN DEATH.
