Possible to love TWO clubs?

My two clubs are Sunderland and Gateshead but we were talking about this last night in Sunderland after the game and I reckon I only seriously dislike (won't use the H word) a handfull of clubs. Newcastle obviously, then maybe Coventry and to be honest it gets more difficult after that. I don't like Celtic or Rangers but its not the same level of dislike to Newcastle, its more to do with the sectarian shite from both sets of fans and I know that's unfair of me as its a minority in both cases.

Most football fans I have met of all the teams I have ever visited have been great. The bad ones are very rare in my personal experience.

I have a soft spot for some other clubs as well namely Uxbridge (used to watch them when I lived with my brother whose house was a few hundred yards from their ground in the mid 90's), Viktoria Zizkov in Prague who I have seen three times at home and Stirling Albion who are my adopted Scottish team.

 you might be right but i sincerely doubt it if your being honest with yourself!pc answer mate yes you love them all the same ....
Ok here goes.
One was born before the other. Which one should I love the most?
One developed great fine motor kills and the other is a bit clumsy. Which one should I love the most?
One earns a lot more money than the other. Which one should I love the most?
One has blue eyes, the other brown. Which one should I love the most?
They are both very competitive like me. Which one should I love the most?
They are both beautiful. Which one should I love the most?
They both have children. Which grandchild should I love the most?
One has my personality, the other more of mum. Which one should I love the most?
Ad infinitum.

You see I don’t love them all the same. I love them all differently. All different personalities, all annoying at times, all selfish, all loving, always needing their mum and dad for one thing or another. It’s nice to be wanted to be loved despite my many faults.

Merry Christmas 🎅🏻 and a truly Happy New Year.

I can understand supporting two clubs if you have a family connection with another one. I’ll never understand the mentality of a glory seeker.

Majority of us can only love one club , but there may be the odd exception. Villa first and foremost but I’ve always had a soft spot for Everton , Sheffield Wednesday and Forest.

My English club, obviously, is Sunderland with a family that had a mix of Spurs, Man City, Man United and the Mags.

The club we all got together on as a family is Rangers. We'd argue, banter and wind each other up on the English football side of things but a united front when it comes to Rangers.

Why is that?

Sunderland for me? I grew up going to school with the usual Liverpool and Man U ones. I never liked the Mags even as a young one and as strange as it sounds, I had a shiny Sunderland sticker from the old sticker books that, as a young one, stood out to me and that's how it all began really.

Rangers? I come from a Protestant/Unionist background (school and area) and family so it was always Rangers there.

It would be like cheating on your wife. When you started following Sunderland you take the good(Winning) with the bad (losing) forever do us part, but you can start supporting another club (Cheating on your wife) everything is new exciting and your winning but what happens when the wife finds out (Starting to play well) and tickets for the big event are scarce do your mates help you out (Cheating on your wife supporting another club) …..you get nowt…
