Possible to love TWO clubs?

Boro are my club, However I have a kind of second level support for Schalke and Torino. I read a magazine article about Schalke in the 70s
and from then on they were my German team. It was obviously more than a kid thing as I have stuck with them, and been over to see them a few
times. The Torino thing started with a deep loathing for all things Juve and a liking for the shirt colour. watching them when I can on TV my support just kind of
increased. They are almost at the same level as 04 now.
Torino were impressive during the week. It won’t last.
Pickford who played more times for Bradford City than Sunderland? 🤣
Pickford who was born on Wearside, supported SAFC since he was a kid, was at SAFC for longer than any other club (so far) and hates the mags is what I think you’re trying to say.
I also have an affair with bristol rovers safc always number 1
Them n Blackburn have the best shirts in English full time football. Shame theres not more one offs.
Anybody who claims to properly support two teams has something missing in their soul imo.
I don’t think anyone on the planet ever has.
Gday Turnip ( from the tip ?🥴) That's a most interesting response mate 😊

Listen lad, I'm of an age were football was a more simple thing! My da was Blue-through-and-through and wouldn't set foot in Anfield! ( even when the toffees played there) but I also had a beloved Uncle (Chas) who was a dyed-in-the-wool Kopite. Charlie and I used to meet up on alternate saturdays at Anfield and Goodison. We followed different clubs but shared a mutual love for the GAME!
He’s been winding up people on here for nigh on 20yrs including under his previous id of Jarvis.
He’s made accusations of pre or post game police car related racism that were all in his own wicked head when posting directly after the game concerned about trivial subjects then getting onto his racism high horse the following morning.
No one sets great stock by anything he posts. I suggest you don’t either. Have a good un.

I’m 100% Sunderland but have a season ticket on Preston having lived here for over 50 years.
Go on with my mates, eldest son is Preston daft, few beers and afternoon out but spend match time glued to my phone if we’re playing at the same time.
Manage to get on 10 or so Sunderland games a season but time and money makes it impractical to do more, so yes I definitely have an affinity with Preston but far from ‘support’ them in they way we all understand it.

Unless it’s like having non-identical twins like mine. They’re both very different though with a different combination of genetic features of their mother and me. Do I love one and not the other? Of course not. Do I love one the most? Absolutely not. They are different and loved and respected for who they are.

Now my daughters are both married with children and live in Surrey. One father was born and raised in Sunderland and is an avid supporter. The other was born in London and supports Aston Villa. What do we do?

And he actually played 35 for us and 34 for Bradford you thick gravy stained wanker
Didn't.

Dope.

at least it was a level playing field back then mate,Wednesday got to quarters or semis quite regularly, we seemed to come up against the Toffees quite a lot,
yes mate, I can well recall the previous season (1964-65) drawing Wednesday at home in round 3. We took a first half lead, only for Wednesday to equalise and then take the lead 🥴 I'm afraid that my resolve weakened and at 3/4 time I headed for home 🙄 (what a softcock I was!) halfway up Walton Lane I heard the HUGE roar telling me that we'd equalised! We went on to win the replay at Hillsborough 3:0 ! we went out in the 4th round to Leeds so I guess Yorkshire had the last laugh!!

Give those blokes from Geordie Arabia a "touch up" in the Cup!! make an old expat Blue happy!!
You were doing well until this, it should have said mag not Geordie.
Geordie and Sunderland supporter FTM.
Everton ain't too bad especially after the other night

My blood flows deepest Royal Blue....I make no secret of that. My devotion to the Everton Football Club is TOTAL, has been since my old da took me to Goodison back in 1951.
However, there's another club that tugs at old daveyblue's heartstrings, and has done for decades: Sunderland AFC! I still remember seeing pictures of those packed terraces at Roker Park in the Charlie Buchan's Football Monthlys that I used to read so avidly, and wonder just how loud "The Roker Roar" actually was?? (I found out for myself one bitterly cold Saturday in February 1964!!) I'd heard my da telling me about "Shack" and Trevor Ford, and wee Billy Bingham.... how much he loved those games when Sunderland were a1st Division powerhouse. I got to see Sunderland play at Anfield in a second division game around new years 1958... wee Ernie Taylor was inside forward (remember those anyone? ;) ) and the little man got his knickers in a twist about something that had been done or said to him! He grabbed a pile of mud and slung it at the ref!:lol::lol::lol: (or in the general direction of the ref?) I almost pissed meself at THAT! But loved that he wasnt going to be sh*t on by ANYONE!! Sadly Sunderland lost the match, then a few days later came to Goodison for a 3rd round FA Cup tie which Everton won 4-0 (SORRY guys!) I remember Peter Wakeham in the goals, Kitchenbrand, Maltby, Wee Ernie of course! I'm not sure if Charlie was in the side that day, Amby Fogarty was another Sunderland player I knew.
As I've said elsewhere on this forum, I was smitten by the Mackems when I came up the L-O-N-G road north for a cup tie in '64. It (up to that time) was the furthest I'd travelled to see the toffees play. But walking around with the crowds down the narrow streets with all those wee terraced houses that surrounded Roker Park, I felt at home (SO like my own neighbourhood!), even down to getting some ciggies from one of the wee corner shops! The result was CRAP for me, but that day and warmth of the banter and the passion of Mackems has stayed with me! I kicked every ball in that '73 Final! Celebrated like one of YOU!

LOOK! I'll never have the pedigree of you'se folks! (I've a football culture of me own) but yours is always the result I look for after EFC!

Of course you can but you will always love one more than the other just like kids parents wont admit it but but they always have a favourite kid.

I don’t agree. That might be the way you are but most parents I know celebrate their children for their differences without favour.
