Portsmouth wanting more tickets

Fair play, although I wouldn't threaten violence for name calling. Seems like a bit of an over-reaction, just like if Pompey fans started attacking Sunderland fans for calling us southern bastards.
Poor post that mind, given the context of what he was saying, expected better from you, you normally come across as decent

It is during the day, but I wouldn't take my dad or my kids round the clubs on a Saturday night and expect them to not see bad behaviour. If that's a difference between Portsmouth and Sunderland, I'll accept that and admit that our cities have different standards.
Apples and oranges, people are talking about a football game in the middle of the afternoon and you’re talking about fuckin clubs on a Saturday night!

Have you been on the drink this afternoon?

Just my opinion, I don't think violence is justified as a response for insults, however out of order. I don't expect others to have my moral standards, for better or worse.

I don't condone it, I also don't condone violence as a response to name calling, as you implied by saying "I'm in no way a violent person, but the edgey Portsmouth supporters I encountered stretched my patience to the limit."

I'd love it if a large number of football fans drinking was a safe space where children and vulnerable elderly people never had to encounter insults or aggressive behaviour but, unfortunately, it isn't.
Again totally misread my post, you really must do better! Someone, coked up, shouting and swearing in aggressive manner, bouncing up and down obviously looking for a fight and a reaction is a smidgen more than "name calling". Bad enough for an average supporter to have to put up with, but you seem intent on ignoring the make up of the group I was in! Very convenient. I've never been in trouble at a football match but I can handle myself. Should I be placed in the same position if I was by myself or with mates would I react differently? Most definitely yes. Just being honest!

Sorry mate, way too much shite to handle there.

Sunderland is a safe space where children and vulnerable elderly people never have to encounter insults or aggressive behaviour.

If you come from somewhere that doesn't apply then there's absolutely no point trying to reason with you.

If this kind of thing is accepted in Portsmouth then you're part of the problem as far as I'm concerned.
Stop your shit stirring. Almost like you want it to happen ffs. We’ll be up with what you give us, backing us to go away from home and get 3 points. End of it. If you interpret that as ‘looking for it’, then up to you.

And Sunderland being the perfect place where the elderly and kids are permanently safe? Do me a favour. Hendon and Peterlee the shining examples to all. Can’t tell me that they are any different to Leigh Park and Paulsgrove ffs.

Wembley are was way more like a club on Saturday night than a typical afternoon, in my opinion. I personally wouldn't have taken an OAP with onset dementia, for fear of this happening, although I obviously don't condone the behaviours of think vulnerable people shouldn't be able to go to football. Maybe I'm just cynical that there would always be trouble with over tens of thousands of people drinking in a small space.

They wouldn’t look for bother with like minded people, it seems they were looking for easy targets, families, shirts etc.

What's the attraction with us Northern Monkeys then?

You only took about 800 to Bury for the EEL semi final
Legit, nothing was riding on it apart from a day out. If promotion or a trophy is at stake we'll turn up, if not then we won't.

It wasn’t just insults though, sounded like pure aggression and intimidation of those who couldn’t defend themselves, thankfully no one did that to my 80 year old parents on Sunday or there would have been violence, push folk too far and they will react.

The good thing about our lot is we seem to be pretty good at policing our own fans, if people overstep the line( like your lot at Wembley) they’ll be told by our more mature fans, I’ve seen it happen plenty of times.

Sunderland is a very welcoming place for away fans, however if you come for bother you’ll get it. Let’s hope the little ten bob chavs who acted like pricks don’t turn up looking for any bother as they’ll certainly get it. Normal fans will have no bother and can drink amongst our fans and chat shit.

Most Pompey people could do that to Olympic standard mind.

Like Man City in the cup final in 2014?

Wembley was fuck all like a Saturday night in pubs, you’ll need to explain why the fuck you think it was because I really can’t understand that thought process.

Only reason you got the amount you did with us is because the Milton End is falling to bits and after we’ve sold 1500 to away teams, we have to give them the whole end. We are obligated to give teams 1900, which if they sell, they may as well have the rest of the whole stand.

Rules are rules. You’ll give us what your segregation allows and that will be that. It’s your home game.

Our fans in the Sunderland parts of the ground will just have to keep a low profile as per usual at any away game. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s not something for me to do having done it once, and it being an utterly dreadful experience.

Sold in a day and a half. 2500 ST holders on day one, the other 400 or so first thing this morning.

The additional 266 will go very quickly on Wednesday too.

Don't give your ST holders much time to get a ticket mind. What's the rush?

Kings Cross is where our lads have drunk for decades, just a short hop on the tube for the pikeys.

Perhaps families with kids and the elderly go out on the lash in Portsmouth mate, who the fuck knows with that lot

If you don't like it clear off.

I've said I want your scum to get a kicking, can't make it any clearer tbh.

At least I'm honest unlike some of you pretending it was all a bit of harmless banter.

I’ve no idea tbh, slightly annoyed me as it means my chances of getting a ticket have decreased as I couldn’t get online on Thursday. I’ve now got to be mega ‘on it’ on Wednesday.

I guess this game is always one for our northern fan clubs - Clan Pompey etc. They target games like Carlisle, Blackpool, Fleetwood, yourselves, Hartlepool in recent seasons. Always bring a fair few hundred.

Also the promotion stakes being what they are, may be a ploy to put pressure on you to sell your tickets, or extend the PC to the NW corner for Pompey fans.

They just can't hold their hands up to it can they.

A trip to Wembley? That's what attracted us to go to Bristol Rivers twice in big numbers in successive games.

Patterns always develop in people's posting over time.

Your's is very much, "Boys will be boys, just what goes on."

As I've said, I hope a sizeable number of your coke sniffers show up and get the full treatment.
I subtly disagree:D

My viewpoint is that it is what goes on, that people who do it are arseholes, but that doesn't mean they'll go away. I believe that everyone should have the right to do whatever I want and be safe, but that's not the real world.

I also think that "I hope a sizeable number of your coke sniffers show up and get the full treatment" is a very different statement to "There comes a point when if you're ignoring the problem you become part of it", and you're a bit of a hypocrite to advocate violence towards Pompey fans after saying "If ordinary supporters allow their scumbag brethren to provoke confrontations they can't complain too much if they end up being caught up in the results"
