Whenever I was in digs down south there would always be a meet up somewhere in London to watch the match. Met some great people at places like the Famous 3 Kings (West Kensington), The Old Red Lion Theatre Nr Angel) and probably the most bizarre was a pub around Hackney Downs/London Fields that was owned by a West Brom supporter (I'm sure someone will remember it) There would 3 games going on at the same time each in different parts of the pub.
Just remembered it was The Albion (strangely enough  )

can't remember what year i first got the interner but my first search was for triumph expecting a motorbike website.
imagine my shock when a bra/lingerie page appeared
Thehun used to a regular or that might have been a little bit later. Buffered wanks

18th July 2002 for me, but had been lurking for a while before that.

Was summer 2002 when people had to register? Few have similar joining dates across July 2002.

These threads make me feel old.

Makes me chuckle in there.
If someone disagrees with them, they simply accuse them of "raging".
You do it back to them, and they say "lifting crack".
It is f***ing hilarious🤣

All mind readers as well and if they disagree with something they say everyone else does.

It got a few put on ignore so all good.

I think when 606 went down, I stumbled across this place....2011, and never left....
I love it....it's not just football, there's educated people with great advice...we all look out for each other....there's people who'll shit in your knicker drawer at the drop of a hat..,.there's the daily ' how you do you put up a picture?' question...there's some loons, some very funny people....the odd meltdown...we've been through it all....and yet we're still here going strong...i come here instead of google, that speaks for itself.

I first joined this forum back in I think 2006 and 17 years later it's still going strong and doesn't seem much quieter than when I first joined although I'm sure the numbers are a little down on what they used to be, I don't have the stats but a brief check of other forums that used to be busy are dying a death, RAWK and Redcafe which used to be much busier than here currently has less people on it. So is this message board like the cockroach of football message boards and carry on when all others die? Or is this forum dying a death too and I just haven't noticed?

Cannot kill the hive mind.

SMB is unmatched.

Don't really post so much now but of the many forums I've used over the past 20 years this one has kept going the strongest.

One thing I remember a mate who isn't into football saying a while back was that this place is like a news site when there's stuff going on in Sunderland, and a source of info when people have asked for advice. More to it than just the football.

I don't ever remember redcafe being busier than here, its always been similar in size/traffic. RAWK was busier about 20 years ago, but it isn't mobile friendly and 80% of our traffic comes from mobile which probably explains their decline.

There has been a steady increase in the number of visitors here over the years, but the number of daily posts has been in steady decline - possibly again explained by the switch to mobile devices rather than laptop/desktop as the engagement has always been lower on mobiles and tablets.

I liked that app we could access it through for a while, can’t remember the name of it, was much more mobile friendly but it stopped?

That being said it’s fine as it is for me
