I remember years ago being on a forum, but I cant remember what it was called.

Couple of lads on there were called"Shoes" and "Sleeves". May have been the fore runner of this, but I don't know. One day it was just gone.

Sleeves is still on here, or we was.

I just checked. I joined in 2006 (aged 15). I posted for about 6-7 years before forgetting about it, then returned in 2018 (aged 27).

I stand by my previous comment: the place is just as full of nutters in the 20s as it was in the late 00s.

I started posting around 2009. You needed a non commercial email address. My dad already had an account but hadn’t bothered posting. So I took it over. If he’d have started I probably would’ve had to wait because he’s an opinionated twat.

I was 19 at the time. This place has given me advice on relationships, work, how to put up
a shelf even. I’ve forged friendships, played for the board’s 5’s team. Had arguments with all the usual WUMs.

13 years later and I still post. Still look on here when I see something elsewhere… I think my ilk are becoming somewhat rare though, even when I first met a load off here they were shocked that I was 21, assumed I was at least 40…

I've been on here, albeit through more than one name, for 14 years. Yes once I was young and immature on here.

Had my fair share of arguments, I've even got myself a psycho level stalker who's pursued a six year old grudge.

But ultimately I can never part with this place.

We've lost an awful lot of top posters over the years, many sadly passed. The forum is still very much the same as when I started reading in 2004 or joined in 2007 mind, not a lot of change in the way people post over all those years. I reckon some random 16 year old would have as much trouble fitting in now as a chav 16 year old did in 2006.
It's a great place for news and current affairs, you have more chance of reading truth on here than you do on the net in general.
More than anything else I like the away fans sticking around, it adds to the football side and the exiles and lasses make it a true family at times.
Was that not Paully?
100% was, no idea if he was known by another name on here or maybe on the Mag forum.

For an exile like me it’s great to chat with fellow SAFC supporters. I remember shortly after I joined the forum they changed the layout and there was a lot of unrest. I’d like to see what the old layout was like because I’ve forgotten.

Had a lot of laughs, used to be some right characters on here. I miss the regular threads such as where Hausershelmet used to see if his dog would eat something and the au pair world cup. The Christmas Party Dilemma, that lad who spent his bus money on a Greggs and the night Raoul Moat went on the run go down in SMB history. Crying tears of laughter as those went on.
