Poached eggs 🥚 on toast 🍞

I have them every morning, tried all the different methods. Have it down to a fine art now.

Freshest eggs are the best.

I use a small pan, simmer the water crack two eggs into it at the same time. No need for vinegar or salt.

Set the toaster away, butter the toast as soon as it pops and fish out the eggs, perfect timing.

I like my toast to sit in the toaster after it pops up to rest a bit and cool a bit
Funnily enough Jeff, Nigella tends to back away from the description "snotty eggs" when discussing poaching.
Can't think why🤣🤣🤣

Funnily enough, no🤣🤣🤣
I like Nigella. I mean she would drive you mad but she’s nice on telly

I do mine in the microwave. Fill a cup 3/4 full with water, crack and gently drop your egg in and ping for 60 seconds. Drain out into a slotted spoon and let drain thoroughly - place on toast and eat..

Crack the eggs into a sieve. It will drain off the watery bits which make your poached eggs raggy.

Gently swirl the water and lower the eggs into it as it is slowing. I put my eggs in a small espresso cup to get it into the water
Don't you dare tell me how to poach eggs Geoff!!

The trick to them is to use the freshest eggs possible. It just won't work with old eggs
I always pick a warm egg from the hen house😋

eggs that are a week old just aren't the same

And I put a thin sliver of marmite on the toast.

Oh mate, you fucked it up right at the last hurdle. My thumb was hovvering over the like button, and then you drop the marmite bomb🤣
