Plumbing (Hot bath Tap)

Nothing actually wrong with the plumbing etc but the washer that holds the tap in place on the bath has broken and I need it fixing. Has anybody done anything like this before?

Arer they easy to replace?

It is probably best to stand in the bath when doing it and have a toaster balanced precariously on the edge mate.

piece of cake.....prise the cap (in the top centre of the tap) off, there should be a screw underneath, undo this, take the tap out and replace the washer.......give it a good clean with wire wool while you're on

It's not the washer that allows you to turn the tap on off etc. It's the washer with a thread that holds the whole tap in place.

20 minute job,that will be £160 sir.

Remove bath panel, turn hot water off at cylinder, undo pipework to tap, unscrew nut from tap, replace washer.
