My cold tap in the bathroom has reduced to a trickle. The bath cold tap is rolling at full power.

Washer replacement I'm thinking?

Fella on youtube said clean the faucets but i'm not sure they detach so might nip to B&Q and sort some taps.

Taking the body away from the stem is a different matter
If they’ve been on a while usually best to replace

Just to dive on the thread while i'm waiting.

The head of the external stopcock has just snapped off after fixing a leaking tap.
Rang NWater and they were hugely helpful and said they will have somebody out this afternoon or this evening to fix it.

Glad i'd dropped the kids off prior to the water going off.

Anyone recommend a decent local (Fulwell/Sunderland) plumber? An SMBer would be preferred if possible of course - I'd rather keep it in-house and give work to fellow posters if possible.
I've got a couple of 'smallish' jobs (capping off ensuite pipes so I can remove it, fixing a new bath waste in a tricky spot, radiator issue) which I've needed doing for ages and the guy I have used in the past isn't available 'until next year probably'.
